Understanding and caring for urban biodiversity, together.
Zoometrics is the digital infrastructure that enables cities to manage biodiversity in a simple, transparent, and collaborative way.
ZOOMETRICS. Smart metrics for smart cities
Zoometrics is a software suite for jointly managing coexistence between people, animals and plants in the municipality, with geolocated data and a One Health approach.
Zoometrics combines science, technology, and community to help governments, institutions, and citizens build healthier, more diverse, and more sustainable cities.
Meow Metrics is a platform for managing cat colonies with the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) method. Ark Metrics, Wild Metrics, Silva Metrics and Census Metrics complete the suite.

ZOOMETRICS, URBAN BIODIVERSITY MONITORING.
Let’s build more sustainable cities together.

ZOOMETRICS, WHAT WE PROTECT
Nature also lives in the city.
Urban biodiversity includes the animals, plants, and ecosystems that inhabit our streets, parks, and neighborhoods. It is not a luxury—it is an essential part of our health, coexistence, and social balance.
At Zoometrics, we aim to give urban biodiversity the value it deserves by turning it into clear evidence, so cities, communities, and citizens can care for it, protect it, and plan its future in a sustainable way.
We envision greener, more diverse, and more vibrant cities, where nature is part of everyday life.

“Protecting biodiversity and ecosystems delivers direct benefits to health and social cohesion.” — European Commission, The Health and Social Benefits of Nature and Biodiversity Protection (2016)
Environmental stewards
Residents, volunteers, municipal technicians, and veterinarians are the first line of care for urban biodiversity.
At Zoometrics, we provide them with recognition, traceability, tools, and a space where their work is amplified with real impact.

BUILDING A NEW PARADIGM
Toward a European standard for urban biodiversity data.
Urban biodiversity management is already integrated into the European legal framework: Ley 7/2023 de bienestar animal (Spain’s Animal Welfare Act), the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030, the European Green Deal, and the One Health approach promoted by the WHO and the EU, among others.
Zoometrics supports municipalities throughout this process, providing traceable data aligned with European standards to ensure legal certainty, transparency, and access to support and funding.
